Yep

It just sounds like it's missing somthing, everything is fine but for now it's seeming like some type of ambient wavy-ness, the bass sounds a bit wierd, the strange eerie vibing sounds are unusual, what this needs is somthing big too come into it, maybe a better (or put one in) melody, but good work so far, it just sounds unfinished, and like you said really monotonus, and it didn't seem uplifting at all for me.

Good Luck.

Death-9 responds:

I'd have to agree with you. Not really psy- or goa- trance, more like ambient trance... It was late night where I was when I made this, so I was too tired to add a melody and WAY too tired to tweak some of the bad parts.

I particularly shouldn't have added the little noise that kicks in at like 0:29, but I liked the sound when I was listening to it by itself... It's the only time I used it :P

I'm not too good with automation, so I added the bass-line individually. My fingers hurt from that...

Unfinished- Yes, and I doubt I'll make a finished version. I'd love to have the full version of FL Studio 8, but I only have the demo so far :(.

Anyways, thanks for the review :) I hope to make a song every week, but I make no promises.

Sweet

It sounded real lovely, I can kind of tell you tried to not make it so repetitive, but using long (i'm not good on terms) melody always makes it a bit harder, anyways basically after 1:10 it was a bit repetitive, but ok it kept changing tunes just a bit to help it along, It then got prety good again bout 1:36, about 2:05 the whole thing gets a bit repetive, this is where you might want to throw somthing kickass in to spice the whole song, but I understand it might not fit into the song, the crap at 3:20 could have came in much sooner as there was almost no buildup of tension to the ending tune-awesomeness, The very last of the song let me down for such a basic ending.

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked the song.

I'm actually quite pleased with the progression and transitions, but I appreciate your input.

Good try.

Some parts were good, some out of sound, some not making sense, but it was okay, I don't know all the music lingo but some of the guitarish sounds were a bit out of tune I think, the best part was acually about 0:15, and the end, a part at 30 kinda ruined it for me.

an honest review for a humble artist. i truly appreciate you taking the time to review my work! plz feel free to review some of my other stuff. (+ i'm still uploading the rest).

PS - yeah i've realized it's a pretty heavy song that prolly wouldn't do well to play on repeat for very long.

Awesome

No-Lie, this almost made me cry, it's wonderfully done and it has a nice death-sad tone but at the same time is happy, I just enjoyed this 5/DL/ I hope this goes gol/plat or anything.

Sylacone responds:
